Introduction

Lyndene Children’s Home in Bilston, Wolverhampton is a provision that cares for children and young persons of a mixed gender, aged 08-17, who may display a range of social and/or emotional difficulties. The home provides short, medium and long-term placements.

Our staff teams are vastly experienced and highly trained in all aspects of residential care and the organisation is managed by the Director, who is supported by the responsible individual and the homes registered manager.

Our Model

  • Build and maintain positive family relationships wherever possible by encouraging and supporting the reunification process where possible and considering the social and geographical factors of the individual

 

  • Promote a positive approach to young person’s care and experiences, incorporating and encouraging community activities, personal activities/hobbies, religious and cultural events

 

  • Complete individual and direct work with young persons to support them in coming to terms with past experiences and trauma and supporting them in the development of positive strategies for coping with their experiences and emotions

 

  • Develop levels of Emotional Literacy to enable the young persons to manage emotions and behaviour independently

We provide a person-centred approach to the delivery of a service based on behavioural approaches which ensure that care and support plans meet the needs and preferences of the child and young person as required.
